Fiorentina have confirmed that midfielder Edoardo Bove has undergone successful surgery to insert a pacemaker after he collapsed during a Serie A game against Inter Milan on December 1.

The 22-year-old has been fitted with a removable internal pacemaker at the Careggi Hospital in Florence, where he has been receiving treatment since the shocking incident earlier this month.
In a statement, Fiorentina confirmed that Bove is now preparing to leave hospital, with permission to return later this week.
